Who is Ambient Flare Photography?
Ambient Flare Photography is a photography studio in Portland, Oregon, founded in 2014 by Levi. It works in weddings, portraits and headshots, events and live music, boudoir, and fine art, serving Portland and the wider Pacific Northwest.
How much does wedding photography cost in Portland?
Ambient Flare wedding coverage begins at $1,500 for four hours, including the fully edited high-resolution gallery. For context, wedding photography in Portland generally runs $3,500 to $7,500, so this sits deliberately below the middle of the market. Longer days, a second photographer, and travel outside the metro area are quoted on top of that.
What does a portrait, headshot, or event session cost?
Sessions are $150 per hour with a two-hour minimum, and that includes the edited high-resolution gallery. This covers portraits, professional headshots, events, and live music work.
What holds my date?
A 25% retainer books the date and takes it off the calendar for anyone else. The remaining balance is due before the day itself.
How far in advance should I book?
As soon as you have a date, ask about it. There is no fixed booking window, and it costs nothing to find out early whether a date is open.
How long until I get my photos?
A short set of preview images goes out within a few days of the shoot, so you have something to share while the rest is in progress. The complete edited gallery is delivered in four to six weeks.
What do I actually receive?
You receive the full-resolution edited files along with personal print rights. You can print them, share them, and post them wherever you like. Ambient Flare retains the copyright and the right to show the work as part of its portfolio.
Can I have a second photographer?
Yes. A second photographer can be added to any wedding and is quoted on top of the base coverage, depending on the length and size of the day.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes. Engagement and pre-wedding sessions are available, either alongside wedding coverage or booked on their own.
Do you offer albums or prints?
Yes. Albums and printed work are available in addition to the digital gallery. Tell me what you have in mind and I will put options together.
Are you insured, and can you provide a certificate for my venue?
Yes. I carry liability coverage for booked work and can provide your venue with a certificate of insurance naming them as an additional insured. A number of Portland venues ask for this before the day — send me the venue's requirements when you book and I will get the certificate over to them.
What areas do you cover?
Portland and the surrounding metro area, and the wider Pacific Northwest across Oregon and Washington. Travel beyond the Portland metro area is quoted separately.
What kinds of photography do you do besides weddings?
Portraits and professional headshots, events and live music, boudoir, and fine art work. Every one of those is shot with the same relaxed, observant approach.
